Flat Roman got to go to Kings Mountain National Park today. So Roman and I looked it up online and learned that it was an important battle that was fought entirely by Americans. Loyalists vs those fighting for independence. It was also a unique battle because of the number of riflemen that fought in this battle. In the end it was an important turning point in the revolutionary war. It was the first major patriot victory after the British invaded Charleston, SC.
Flat Roman also got to help around the house.
He helped Grandma with her gardening.
He helped Grandpa edit photos.
He got to go with Grandpa to recycle the newspapers.
He went home teaching with Grandma and Grandpa.
And he even got to take a little ride on the tractor with Grandpa.
And as an added bonus, Grandpa sent a picture that he called "Only in South Carolina."
