Flat Roman had another busy week in Arizona. They said that he is so much fun to have around!
Flat Roman went to the Mesa Arizona Temple. They walked around the grounds and went into the visitors center. Hannah posed with Flat Roman in front of the temple. Inside the visitors center Flat Roman and the kids watched a video together. They also looked at the displays.
To commemorate his time in Arizona, they made sure to get pictures of Flat Roman in front of a few different types of cactus plants.
They also took Flat Roman to Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center, the hospital where real Roman was born, in downtown Phoenix.
Stephanie also took the liberty of introducing Flat Roman to her favorite sandwich. They went to Capriotti's and got a Bobbie. It's like Thanksgiving dinner in a sandwich. It has turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and mayo on freshly baked bread. Stephanie thought Flat Roman would like to try it as well. She said that she thinks he liked it! He was all smiles after sharing it with her. ;-)
Andrew had his 5th birthday. Flat Roman and Andrew's daddy brought cupcakes in to Andrew's pre-school class. They had a great time. Flat Roman also went to Andrew's birthday party after pre-school but he was so busy playing games and eating cake that we didn't get any pictures of him.
Last night Flat Roman got to go to a Cub Scout Arrow of Light Ceremony out at Estrella Mountain. It was in the late evening so they had to use flashlights to hike up the trail to the amphitheater for the ceremony. Once they got to the amphitheater, all the kids were so impressed to see the circle of fire and men dressed in Native American ceremonial garb.It was beautiful up on the mountain. The sky was so clear they could see the stars twinkling brightly overhead.
Thomas turned 1 year old on Saturday and Flat Roman celebrated with them. They had cake, ice cream, and opened presents. Flat Roman also got to be there when Thomas cut his 4th tooth and when Thomas learned that if he smiles when the camera is pointed at him they all cheer. Flat Roman laughed with them every time Thomas saw the camera and smiled for it.
Flat Roman watched general conference with them. He sat so quietly just like the big kids. They played general conference BINGO to help them listen to what was being said. They said that they were glad to have him with them. Flat Roman is headed to the Post Office today to head to California so he can be there for Evan and Daniel's baptisms.
